Caroline Baker

21 years experience in owning and managing a busy creative design consultancy, working with people and organisations on many levels. Most recently concentrating on the legal requirements of the business including IP licencing and finally full acquisition of the company by a third party in February 2021.

Recently graduated with Distinction from the GDL course at the University of Law and currently  on an LPC MSc in law, business and management . 

Caroline is a CMC Associate Mediator in Workplace, Civil and Commercial Mediation.

 After graduating in Product Design Engineering in 2000 it wasn’t long before I joined my wife, Caroline Baker, to set up a design consultancy in North Wales.

Over the following 21 years, I played a significant role in the invention, development, and manufacture of some of the most advanced products in the World. This included military, industrial and medical respiratory protection, medical devices, consumer goods and testing equipment.

I am named as an inventor on a number of patents, including industry leading products, and recognised as an expert in the field of respiratory PPE.

Between 2017 and 2020, I brought to the PPE industry a new company called Core Protection Systems with an industry disrupting product line. From its successful launch at A+A in 2017 to a seven-figure exit from the business in 2020, it was my first business build and sale.

In February 2021, after 21 profitable, successful, and award-winning years we made the decision to sell the entire issued share capital of the design consultancy to a third party.

As an owner of a large design consultancy, I have skills in everything from negotiating high value licence agreements down to unblocking the sink, but I am most proud of the way I have worked within, and orchestrated teams of electronic, software and mechanical design engineers to produce many industry-leading technologies.
